Aah, Pancake Day. One of my favourite days in the calendar. A fluffy drop-scone style affair smothered with golden syrup and topped with fresh fruit and creme fraiche for me, a thin roll stuffed with cheese and ham for Chris. Both tasting all the better for the fresh, home-laid eggs within them. Can’t beat it. I know what we’ll be having for lunch tomorrow.
How do you eat yours?









Definitely like the sound of Chris’ cheese and ham one, perhaps that’s what I’ll have tomorrow as I’m trying to avoid sugar…my favourite is the traditional thin pancake with lots of lemon and a sprinkle of sugar. Although we can’t claim to have our own eggs to make ours with, we’ll be using fab organic eggs from happy chick chicks from the farm up the road

A thin crepe filled with homemade salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. That was the plan but no one elsewanted pancakes so I didn’t bother with them and just had the sauce and ice cream!
